This paper presents a new CSCW system that contributes in document composition learning in a collaborative form. The design and main performance characteristics of the proposed system was based on an extensive analysis of the writing process and the documents produced during two courses at the University of Valladolid. PENCACOLAS supports all the phases that appear in composition, i..e brainstorming, planning, composition and revision.
