This tutorial describes the objectives and applications of Natural Language Generation. In order to cut down the generation process, two stages of the language production process haven been considered: deep generation and surface generation. The paper also includes the integration of generation in a natural language interface and a taxonomy of the natural language generators according to the interaction between the mentioned stages in the generation process. Este tutorial presenta cuáles son los objetivos y aplicaciones de la Generación de Lenguaje Natural. Para abordar el proceso de generación, se consideran dos fases: generación profunda y superficial. Este trabajo muestra también la integración de la generación en un interfaz de lenguaje natural y una clasificación de los generadores de lenguaje natural según la interacción entre las fases citadas.
